Tuesday 3rd May
After paying the bill we headed out to the local Good Year garage to get the RV serviced and then it's off to Stuart to drop off some canvas for repair and drop Buddy off at a kennels.
By early afternoon we're at Ira and Ann's place in Century Village, West Palm Beach.
Wednesday 4th May
Before the inevitable trips to Costco etc. we took a walk round the Okeeheelee Nature Center. There wasn't too much going on outside - wrong time of year - but there was lots of interesting creatures inside.
Hooty was everyone's favourite.
Hooty (naturally enough) is a hoot owl that someone tried to make into a pet and now he has no idea how to fend for himself in the wild.
He's very tame.
Watched the King's Speech again for Ira and Ann's benefit - good movie.
Thursday 5th May
Some serious rain for the first time in a while.
Century Village has weekly movies for five bucks so we got to see The Town - violent but pretty good.
Friday 6th May
Took advantage of more of the Century Village facilities and we all used the gym.
Did a little more shopping and got something to trim my growing-wilder-by-the-day beard.
Saturday 7th May
Took a bike ride around the village with Ira and swam in another of their many pools - it's so hot.
Once a month Ira and Ann's complex have a patio pot luck and this was the day. We ate lots of great food and met many of their neighbours.
Sunday 8th May
An early start to pick Buddy up and north we go once more.
A day's driving and we're at the top of Florida. Lee's Country Campground was inexpensive with our Passport America membership and a very pleasant, quiet place to stay.
Monday 9th May
Another day's driving and we're through Atlanta and we're at Leisure Time RV park in northern Georgia where we stayed on the way down last October.
Tuesday 10th May
Up into Tennessee and through Nashville and into Kentucky and we're at another place we stayed last October. This is not much of a campsite but it is next to a nature preserve where we took Buddy a walk once the heat died down a little.
